As a part of its regular activities, the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) processes personal data about customers, employees and individuals participating in research, among others. Being a responsible institution, we want to ensure that personal data is processed properly, respecting the privacy of every individual. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) provides data subjects with various rights, on the basis of which data subjects can often define how their personal data is processed. Luke’s registry office acts as the general point of contact regarding data protection. It forwards any questions to the correct parties, as necessary.
